I have seen you

by Sudeep D

This composition of mine is inspired by the great, Jimmy Armstrong also known as the dwarf clown at clyde beaty Circus, Palisades, New Jersey 1958. His aura, his presence in front of the mob and his loneliness has simply taken me to the depths of his life..

Title : I have seen you.

'I have seen you.
I have seen you..
..seeking company in your lonely tides..
...no one else..but cigarettes by your sides..
After the colors weep through your droopy eyes...
I have seen you..

I have seen you.

I have seen you..

..help these wingless beings fly with joy.. with borrowed charms.
With the fun n frolics that you shower up on
With short & twisted arms

I have seen you.

I have seen you..
..Just as the lights fall on your brighter self.
Claps of joy & waves of laughter are showered upon
In your brightest self, as you appear..
Keeping your tears locked up inside
Each colored with thick layers of the make-up they clad your blue wrinkles with...

In your brightest self just as you appear..
You lighten up the blind eyes with your sight...
The smile carved on your face...
and the pride gazing on your hat..
The grandeur you bring in your tiny self..
I have seen you...

And yes i say.. the bilnd eyes ..as they see the colored face you wear but are blind to the layered sorrows...the lonely nights that you sail through...the teary days that mock you of your plight...
But..
I have seen you..'
