The river still flows…
but now, it rushes faster.. crowded by voices, images, opinions, and noise.
Every moment brings new information, yet not every piece brings understanding.
We scroll, we absorb, we respond, but seldom do we pause long enough to reflect.
We are a generation standing at the confluence of light and distraction.
Gifted with tools that can enlighten us,
yet surrounded by temptations that can drown our focus.
Rumi once said, “Silence is the language of God, all else is poor translation.”
And in this digital hum that never sleeps, silence becomes sacred ground. It is in stillness that wisdom begins to breathe again.
True learning is not found in speed, but in stillness.
It is when we linger with knowledge, question it, internalize it, and allow it to transform us that it becomes wisdom. The digital age has given us endless access, but wisdom requires intention. We need to filter what feeds us from what depletes us, to choose growth over distraction, and to remember that not every light on our screen is light for the soul.
Empowerment through wisdom begins when we become mindful of what we consume. Every act of conscious learning becomes an act of devotion. Every moment spent seeking truth becomes a form of remembrance.
So let us return to the river, but this time, with stillness. For wisdom, unlike information, is not a flood..rather, it is a quiet current that moves through the heart and nourishes the soul..
